2die zweite Prytanie inne, für die Theokrisios S.d. Pasion
3aus dem Demos Oion Sekretär war; im Schaltmonat Hekatombaion
4am fünfundzwanzigsten, dem einund-
5dreißigsten (Tag) der Prytanie; Volksversammlung in
6dem Theater; von den Vorsitzenden leitete die Abstimmung Ni-
7kon S.d. Nikon aus dem Demos Eroiadai und seine Mitvorsitzenden. Be-
8schluss des Volkes; Chares S.d. Eucharistos stellte den Antrag:
9Worüber Bericht erstatten die Prytanen
10der Kekropis, nämlich über die Opfer, die sie opferten
11vor den Volksversammlungen dem Apollon Pro-
12staterios und der Artemis Boulaia und
13den anderen Göttern, denen es traditionell Brauch war, zu Glück
14und Heil!, wolle beschließen das Volk: dass man das Gute billige,
15das geschehen ist bei den Opfern, die sie opferten für das Heil
16und die Rettung des Rates und des Volkes; – Da
17aber die Prytanen geopfert haben alle die Opfer,
18zu denen sie in der Prytanie verpflichtet waren, in guter und ehr-
19geiziger Weise; sie auch Sorge getragen haben für das Zusammentreten
20des Rates und der Volksversammlung und für alles andere,
21was ihnen die Gesetze vorschrieben und die
22Beschlüsse des Volkes: dass man belobige die Prytanen
23der Kekropis und bekränze mit goldenem
24Kranz gemäß dem Gesetz wegen ihrer Frömmigkeit
25gegenüber den Göttern und ihres Ehrgeizes für den Rat
26und das Volk der Athener; dass diesen Beschluss der
27Sekretär, der während der Prytanie amtiert, aufzeichne
28auf eine steinerne Stele und aufstelle in dem Pry-
29tanikon; dass für die Aufzeichnung auf die Stele der
30Finanzverwalter die entstandenen Kosten begleiche.

2prytany, of Kekropis, for which Theokrisios son of Pasion
3of Oion was secretary. On the intercalary twenty-fifth
4of the second Hekatombaion, the thirty-
5first of the prytany. Assembly
6in the theatre. Of the presiding committee Nikon
7son of Nikon of Eroiadai was putting to the vote, and his fellow presiding committee members.
8The People decided. Chares son of Eucharistos of Aphidna
9proposed: about what the prytany
10of Kekropis report about the sacrifices which they made
11before the Assemblies to Apollo
12Prostaterios and Artemis Boulaia and
13the other gods to whom it is traditional, for good fortune,
14the People shall decide, to accept the good things
15that occurred in the sacrifices which they made for the health
16and preservation of the Council and the People; and since
17the prytany made all the sacrifices
18that were proper in the prytany well and with love of honour,
19and managed the convening
20of the Council and the Assembly and everything else
21which the laws and decrees of the People require
22of them; to praise the prytany of
23Kekropis and crown them with a gold
24crown according to the law for their piety
25towards the gods and their love of honour towards the Athenian
26Council and People; and the prytany secretary
27shall inscribe this decree on a
28stone stele and stand it in the
29prytanikon; and for inscribing the stele
30the administrator shall allocate the expenditure accrued.
